YOUTH SUMMER CAMP JULY 13-17

$525.00

If your child has ever been curious about working with clay, this week-long ceramics camp is the perfect place to explore, create, and build confidence. This class is appropriate for youth ages 8-16.

Throughout the week, students will be introduced to a variety of foundational pottery techniques and creative projects, including:

  • Using the potter’s wheel to create bowls, mugs, plates, and more

  • Hand-building with pinch, coil, and slab techniques

  • Adding texture, detail, and surface design with underglazes

  • Designing and creating a small sculpture of their own

We intentionally keep sessions small (just 8 students) to ensure each child receives plenty of individual guidance and support.

Our approach emphasizes creativity over perfection. We encourage imagination, independence, and pride in each student’s ideas, so they leave not only with finished pieces, but with a stronger sense of confidence in their abilities.

This camp is led/supervised by Pam, the studio owner who also holds a degree in Child and Adolescent Development and has over 25 years of experience working with youth. As a ceramic artist, she has taught both adult and children’s pottery classes and brings a thoughtful, supportive and fun approach to teaching.
